Do you like folk music and songs? But you don’t you have enough time to swing through the Czech countryside? Well, come to the Folklore Garden; just use the Prague tram to get there. In the Folklore Garden you can have much fun eenjoying a performance of professional musicians and dancers in folk costumes, and you can learn about the atmosphere of the Czech countryside and rustic Czech entertainment.

As a welcoming drink you get a cup of mead – the Old-Bohemian liqueur made from honey. The three-course dinner will treat you to typical Czech specialties, and Czech beer, wine, and soft drinks – all you can drink. Local chefs are ready to take care of vegetarians and people on diets alike.

You will never feel lonely in the Folklore Garden, for you are seated at large rustic tables where you can easily get in touch with other guests. You do not have to sit all night only – you can also dance and sing along. The dancers and singers will give you a lesson, and you will learn that Czech folk songs and dances are cheerful, and create a good mood. You can even borrow some of the traditional musical instruments and try to play along. If you wish, the band will play your favourite song at the end of the night.

 

The entire complex is accessible for the handicapped. As said above, you can reach the Folklore Garden with a tram (lines 12, 14, and 20 to the Hlubočepy stop, and from there just a few steps on foot). The travel time from Prague’s centre is about 20 minutes. The Folklore Garden’s proprietors also offer free shuttle service from and to hotels in the city centre.

A large parking lot for travel bureaus’ busses is available, too – Folk nights are celebrated up to six times a week – Come and enjoy an unforgettable night.
